What is vinyassa?
Vinyasa meaning "to place in a special way" is a style of yoga which strings together a sequence of postures so that we move and flow from one pose to another, seamlessly, using our breath.
The nature of Vinyasa Yoga helps us to develop a more balanced body as well as prevent repetitive motion injuries that can happen if we tend to do the same thing every day.
As a philosophy, Vinyasa recognises the temporary nature of things as we are ever changing. We enter into a posture, and following with our breath we leave. This indicates that we are not “throwing our bodies around” but are bringing consciousness to each movement in each moment.
During our hour Vinyasa session I will incorporate yoga nidra meditation, as well as finishing with a beautiful, gentle Reiki and massage healing during your Savasana. This is a wonderful option for those wanting to experience a full body yoga flow but who also want to marry the restorative benefits of the Reiki and meditative elements sequenced within their session.
Group sessions can also be arranged and tailored. My role is to ensure you receive exactly as you need from our practice. Sessions are carried out between our outside pool and tennis court area. There may be flexibility on locations based on clients needs. All mats and props provided
